Testing with Photoshop tilt-shift
I came across an article yesterday showcasing the trend of shooting with a tilt-shift lens to produce surreal, miniature model like photographs. (I really like the nature scene with waterfall and tree). I have seen this before and have wanted to purchase a tilt-shift lens to see what I could do with my images and also how it may affect some of my food photography. There was a video (watch it here) that gave a quick tutorial how to get a similar effect with out a tilt-shift lens. I messed around with some images I shot recently and was pretty stoked with the end results. I still intend on someday getting a tilt-shift lens but only when I have a couple of grand laying around with nothing better to do…thank God for this shortcut to suffice for now.
